Steve obtained a verdict of $2,105,000 involving a medical malpractice case against a local hospital and physician as a result of their combined negligence.

Steve recovered a $2,000,000 settlement involving a return-to-play professional soccer player with a moderate traumatic brain injury.

Steven helped his client, a former Arena Football League player, recover a $1,625,000 settlement due to a permanent traumatic brain injury resulting from the substandard assessment and management of his concussive episodes by the team doctor in April of 2008.

Steve obtained a verdict of $1,900,000 in a medical malpractice case that left his client with severe internal injuries that ended his 20-year military career and left him unable to bend, twist, or lift more than ten pounds.

Steve obtained verdict of $5,757,920 for his client who was involved in a truck accident that left him with a severe traumatic brain injury.

Steve recovered $1,432,000 for his client who was involved in a motorcycle/auto crash that left him blind and caused severe orthopedic injuries. It is the largest personal injury verdict in Weld County.

Steve obtained a verdict of $859,000, plus interest for his client in a slip and fall case. This was the largest slip and fall verdict achieved in Colorado at that time.

Steve recovered a settlement in the amount of $6,250,000 in a case against a foster parent for a traumatic brain injury sustained by a thirty-day old infant when he was shaken or slammed while in the care of the foster parents.

Steve recovered $2,400,000 for his client who sustained a severe neck injury in a premises liability matter when he was thrown into foundation by a concrete pumper.

BIO

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Steve Shapiro has practiced law since 1983 and has spent the entirety of his career aggressively pursuing fair resolution in personal injury cases. His legal practice focuses on personal injury law with an emphasis on brain injury law or neurolaw, and he has tried 65 cases to a jury.

Steve Shapiro has been proving invisible disabilities for more than 35 years. He has worked with individuals who have suffered from traumatic brain injuries and has seen how these invisible disabilities affect lives. Something of great import to Steve is helping his clients get appropriate rehabilitative care, as well as improving the quality of their life after a catastrophic injury.

Steve has been married to his wife, Mona, for 36 years and has two children, Lauren and Preston, and a granddaughter, Issie. Steve enjoys the gym and golf and wishes he still had a jump shot.
